A citizen of Cherokee Nation, she holds a B.S. from Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, OK; and an M.B.A. from Wilmington University, New Castle, DE, graduating with high honors.

An attorney in private practice for 27 years, Rick is a respected litigator and consultant with tribal governments, employers, and gaming regulators. Author of A Guide to Tribal Employment (Xlibris 2008), Rick consults on employment law matters, tribal governance, and gaming compliance. Rick holds a Juris Doctor of Law from the University of Oklahoma and serves as assistant general counsel for the Prairie Island Indian Community.

Dr. Pete has extensive experience in Indian health services and Tribal and Inter-Tribal organizations. He served as the Health/Clinic Administrators for the Mille Lacs Band, Wisconsin Ho-Chunk Tribe, and for his Tribe (Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians). Responsibilities included Accreditation through AAAHC, supervisory responsibility, development of budgets, increasing revenues for Third Party collections, and program development. He served on Red Cliff Tribal Council, and as the Tribal Manager. He has a B.S. Business Administration, M.A. Organizational Management, and Doctorate in Business Administration.

Sammye Meadows is an author and editor, focusing on American Indians and American history and cultural heritage tourism. She served as Public Lands Partnerships Coordinator for the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association (AIANTA) and worked with Grand Canyon National Park’s Inter-tribal Advisory Council on transforming Desert View and the Watchtower into an inter-tribal cultural heritage area. She coordinated the Circle of Tribal Advisors for the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial and has served as executive director for historical, arts and environmental non-profit organizations in the Rocky Mountain West. She graduated from Centre College of Kentucky.
